University of Utah: Ambulatory Care Center

University of Utah Health’s new Ambulatory Care Complex (or ACC) is a brand-new building right in the heart of the medical campus. It connected to three existing buildings. To make way for the project, the existing central heating plant had to be temporarily relocated while the new heating plant was constructed in the basement of the building. Several utilities, such as medium-voltage power and communications had to be relocated as well.

ACC is a 305,000 square-foot, 8-story, state-of-the-art facility that will serve over 100,000 new patients each year and serve as some of the clinical training grounds for the next generation.
