Weber State University: Noorda Engineering, Applied Science & Technology  Building

WSU Noorda is a 138,000 sq ft 3-level building on the north end of the Weber State campus. The exposed structure and site lighting on this project allows students and occupants an honest view of the essential systems that bring the building to life. The electrical system consists of 2- Medium Voltage Transformers 1-1500KVA 12470V- 120/208 3 Ph Transformer with a 3000A Distribution Switchboard, 1-1000KVA 12470V – 277/480V 3 Ph Transformer with a 2500A Distribution Switchboard for normal power, and 1-500 KW Emergency Generator with 3- Automatic Transfer Switches 1-150A , 1-600A , 1- 800A 1.

The space in this project consists of classrooms & labs for the Electrical & Mechanical Engineering students and a large commons area on Level 1. Most of the lighting on this project was Exposed LED Linear Cable Hung fixtures. Our team’s electrical craftsmanship on this project was first-class. This was a project to be proud of.
