Ogden High School: Renovation and Addition
This project was a remodel of and addition that added up to be 114,000 square feet. The remodeled aspects of this project included classrooms and the auditorium. Black box theatre, Voice/Data, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Card Access, new low voltage transformers panels, dimming systems, panels and gears were all added.
This building was originally built in 1936 and is named on the national historic preservation program list. Construction consisted of an 115,000 square foot renovation including converting the gymnasium into 2 levels of classrooms, computer rooms and theatrical studios. A complete renovation and restoration of the black box theatre and auditorium was also completed at this time. The electrical upgrades include a 2000-amp service, several new branch panels, upgraded lighting and controls, stage dimming systems, CCTV, security, intercom and fire alarm systems. Due to the intricate details in coordinating the renovation and preservation of a nationally recognized historical building, this project was especially challenging to complete while maintaining an aggressive schedule.
