Granite School District Administration Building & Woodrow Wilson Elementary

The Granite Administration Building was a 144,600 square foot conversion of an old hospital into a new LEED certified main office and educational complex for the Granite School District. The five story tower that was once used to house patients was transformed into four large classroom wings for the applied technology department. An extensive amount of low voltage systems were installed and the building utilizes a daylight harvesting system and occupancy sensors. Many of the existing light fixtures were retrofitted to utilize T-5 lamps and ballasts.

On the southwest side of the complex a new elementary school was constructed which replaced an older one. The 76,500 square foot elementary school was made up of a two story concrete tilt up construction that measured 56,500 square feet and 20,000 square feet of the administration building. The low voltage systems in the new administration building were extended to the new school that included the fire alarm, CCTV and security as well as the daylight harvesting.
